Hunter Moore, the so-called ‘Most Hated Man On The Internet,’ was arrested by the FBI on Jan. 23 for a 15-count felony indictment related to his now defunct ‘revenge porn’ site.

Hunter Moore was arrested by the FBI on Jan. 23, years after his revenge porn website first started humiliating women by sharing their private photos. Below are five things you need to know about the man who used other people’s private nude photos to make himself rich.

5 Things To Know About Hunter Moore

1. He was once dubbed “The Most Hated Man On The Internet.” Hunter started the new-defunct site “Is Anyone Up?”, which allowed users to submit nude photos or streaming videos of anyone of legal age; consent or no. Its submissions were mostly “revenge porn” photos of jilted exes who wanted to get back at their former lovers by humiliating them on the Internet. He made as much as $30,000 a month for this.

2. He’s facing federal indictment. After years of unheard cries from women all over the world who had been destroyed by Hunter’s site, the FBI arrested and indicted Hunter and his 25-year-old partner Charles “Gary” Evens for hacking into users’ email accounts to populate the site with more photos. “Moore sent payments to Evens in exchange for nude photos obtained unlawfully from the victims’ accounts. Moore then posted the illegally obtained photos on his website, without the victims’ consent,” the indictment alleges.  Among the charges in the 15-count felony indictment are suspicion of conspiracy, seven counts of unauthorized access to a protected computer to obtain information, and seven counts of aggravated identity theft.

3. He covers his bases. To make sure that the (mostly female) victims on his site were fully and properly humiliated, Hunter included their full names, professions, social-media profiles, and cities of residence along with their pictures. This ensured that their naked photos would pop up on Google searches, so that anyone from new friends to potential employers could see them.

4. He has some famous victims on his roster. According to Rolling Stone“an American Idol finalist, the daughter of a major GOP donor, the co-founder of Dream Water, Passion Pit’s bassist, Kreayshawn, one Real Housewife, various real housewives, mothers, schoolteachers, midgets and a woman in a wheelchair,” were all victims of Hunter’s site.

5. He overfeeds his cat. Alan the cat reportedly weighs in at 40 lbs, which is absurd. When Facebook banned Hunter for life, they also banned Alan — and Hunter responded by posting a photo of his penis.

BONUS: He supports Justin Bieber.

Hunter’s final tweet before his indictment was about Justin’s Jan. 23 DUI arrest:

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Should this guy go to jail? Do you think “revenge porn” should be illegal?
