Unfortunately, this feels like it was a longtime coming. Justin joined the list of celebrities with a mugshot after he was arrested for DUI and drag racing in Miami on Jan. 23.
This may be what rock bottom looks like for Justin Bieber (though, why the heck is he smiling?). No more shirtless selfies for the singer — just a mugshot that was taken on Jan. 23, hours after the 19-year-old singer was arrested for DUI and drag racing in Miami.
Justin Bieber’s Mugshot Released
In the picture Justin looks… happy? That may be related to Justin being “under the influence.” Unfortunately there isn’t really a lot to smile about, and this mugshot just makes this whole mess feel that much more real.
After the mugshot, he was seen being transported to Miami-Dade County Jail. Click here to see the photo.
At around four in the morning, Justin was caught street racing with rapper Khalil in matching Lamborghinis. He was going about 60 miles per hour, twice the speed limit on the residential street Pine Tree Dr., Sgt. Bobby Hernandez of the Miami-Dade Police Department said in a press conference.
After getting pulled over, Justin failed a sobriety test, admitted “he had been taking a prescription medication, was high on marijuana, and had drank a beer,” and proceeded to curse out officers and resist arrest by refusing to take his hands out of his pockets,” Sgt. Hernandez told HollywoodLife.com.
Justin Bieber Arrested For DUI & Drag Racing
Justin was processed at the Miami Beach Police Department and then held at the Miami-Dade County Jail for over eight hours — protocol for anyone taken in for DUI. He is now facing charges for DUI, drag racing, resisting arrest, and driving with an expired license, for which he could face major fines, and possibly even jail time.
There’s no way you can look at this mugshot and not be shocked by how far Justin has fallen. The only possible silver lining is that hopefully, this grave incident will serve as a wakeup call for Justin, and will convince him to turn things around. Though judging by Justin’s smile, the odds of that seem slim.
