Attention, tributes! The first poster for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ has been released and it is hot, hot, hot!

While we would have loved to see Jennifer Lawrence and her sexy co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson grace the first poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, this image of a mockingjay encircled by flames is pretty sweet. And it definitely has us excited for the latest installment of The Hunger Games, which, sadly, is still 10 months away. Talk about a tease!

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ Poster — First Poster Released For Film

The poster was first released on the movie’s official Twitter and Facebook accounts on Jan. 22.

J-Law Photobombs T-Swift

“Check out the new logo for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1… and LIKE if you’re excited for #Mockingjay!”, reads the caption on the official The Hunger Games Facebook page.

The mockingjay is a significant symbol in the Hunger Games saga. Jennifer’s character Katniss Everdeen wears a mockingjay pin from her beloved sister, Prim, while participating in the Hunger Games, and the Capitol-created bird eventually evolves into a symbol of rebellion for the oppressed people of Panem.

The latest Hunger Games flick features returning stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, as well as Sam ClaflinJulianne MooreNatalie DormerLily RabeEvan Ross, and more.

Josh Hutcherson Mocks ‘The Hunger Games’ While Hosting ‘SNL’

Josh Hutcherson hosted Saturday Night Live on Nov. 23, and he didn’t waste any time before mocking the The Hunger Games.

Right off the bat, Josh made fun of how his character Peeta “immediately gets hurt and has to be carried around for the rest of movie.” Truth.

After several more Hunger Games-themed jokes, Josh begged everyone to chill out, because “The Hunger Games is just a movie.” “And a book!” SNL star Kate Mckinnon pointed out, which led to our favorite joke of the sketch:

“It’s a book?” Josh asked, confused. We love that Josh isn’t too proud to poke fun of The Hunger Games, but all jokes aside, we can’t wait to see Mockingjay – Part 1!

The movie won’t be released until  Nov. 21, 2014, so we still have a ways to go!

What did you think, HollywoodLifers? Do you love the first poster for Mockingjay – Part 1? Let us know!

Also the mockingjay was not created by the Capitol. The Capitol created the jabberjay to spy on the people in the districts and when they realized that the people were feeding the birds the wrong intel on purpose they stopped using them and abandoned them to go extinct, but the jabberjays began to mate with the mockingbirds which in turn created the new species of bird the mockingjay.

I am getting so annoyed with the writers on this site. Do your research before you post articles. The pin Katniss wore in the movie she got from a woman at a stall in the Hob (the black market in district 12) If you watch the movie she picked it up and asked what it was and the woman told her it was the mockingjay. She asked how much for it and the woman said you keep it. In the book she got it from the mayor’s daughter Madge after she volunteered as tribute. Madge came to see her before she was taken to the train and asked her to wear the pin as her reminder of home. She did not get the pin from Prim in either version.
