Oh no! Rapper Soulja Boy was arrested on Jan. 22 for carrying a loaded gun, after the car he was traveling in was pulled over for running a stop sign.
23-year-old rapper Soulja Boy — whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way — has reportedly experienced yet another run-in with the law. The “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” singer was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over early on Jan. 22, and the cops quickly noticed that Soulja was carrying a loaded gun!
Soulja Boy Arrested For Carrying A Loaded Gun
We hope Soulja Boy can get his act together. TMZ reports that Soulja was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley for running a stop sign early on Jan. 22, and when cops went to speak to the driver they found more than they bargained for.
The cops told TMZ that during the stop, they noticed that Soulja was in possession of a loaded gun, and arrested him on the spot. He was taken to a local jail and was still being booked as of press time on Jan. 22.
Soulja Boy: History With The Law
Unfortunately, this isn’t Soulja’s first run-in with the law. Back in October of 2011, cops found $70,000 worth of marijuana and cash in the rapper’s car when they stopped him for a traffic violation. He was arrested and released on bond during the same day, but this new violation could get him in even more trouble if he’s found guilty.
HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Soulja Boy’s reps for comment.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you surprised that Soulja was arrested again? Do you think he’ll do hard time?
