What, did you really think ‘SNL’ wasn’t going to be all over Justin’s egg-throwing controversy? Watch the show take down the Biebs below and tell us — do you think it’s mean, or hilarious?
When you think about it, the story of Justin Bieber throwing eggs at his neighbor’s house and then having his house raided by police looking for “evidence” sounds less like reality and more like something Saturday Night Live would make up. So the show must have been thrilled to take a stab at the scandal, and at the troubled singer himself.
‘SNL’ Makes Fun Of Justin Bieber
Justin (played brilliantly by Kate McKinnon) appeared in the cold open of the show on a Piers Morgan Live segment devoted to “several public figures accused of misleading the American people.” After Piers (played by Taran Killam) talked to Chris Christie and Alex Rodriguez, it was Justin’s time to shine.
Before we get to the jokes, can we just say how funny Kate’s impression of Justin was? We love the Biebs as much as anyone, but the way Kate was constantly posing and making sexy, pouty faces was the perfect send-up. And her outfit was pretty spot-on as well. At some points it was amazing just how much Kate looked like Justin (sorry, Justin). Okay, moving on.
Justin Bieber On ‘SNL’: ‘My Brain Is Broken’
In the show, Justin made a few futile attempts to explain the egging, like “It’s a tradition in Canada,” “I thought my neighbor was a chicken, so I was just returning his kids,” and “I was trying to make a breakfast in bed, but the eggs wouldn’t go through the walls.”
The skit ended with one last diss, as Piers asked Justin his age and he responded, “I think I’m 40, or maybe I’m five. I don’t know — my brain is broken!” Ouch. That one stung a little.
So HollywoodLifers, what did you think of SNL‘s take on Justin’s scandal? Watch the skit below and tell us if you thought it was hilarious or mean!
