Rachel Roy’s Makeup — Get Her Sexy, Smokey Eye Look
Cynde Watson is a celebrity makeup artist who has worked with Angela Bassett, Giselle Bundchen, Lauren Conrad and more, and created this look for Rachel. Here’s the how-to:
“Great makeup results start with great skin. It’s very important to have smooth and hydrated skin before applying makeup. To insure a smooth flawless complexion, I recommend using the no!no! Hair Removal System to remove unruly hair and peach fuzz from the face. I like to prep skin with NEOVA Day Therapy SPF 30. It’s all-inclusive moisturizer nourishes the skin and defends against UVA/UVB damage.”
“How to create her glowing face: apply a medium to full coverage foundation (Used on Rachel: Rich Makeup Studio Picture Perfect foundation in Almond Joy). For best results use a damp sponge (I love using the Beauty Blender Sponge) when applying your foundation. Apply concealer one shade lighter than your foundation (Used on Rachel: Rich Makeup Studio Perfect Concealer in #7 ) and set with translucent powder (Used on Rachel: Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Microfinish Powder). Make it last with a makeup finishing spray (I love using the SKINDINAVIA makeup finishing spray).”
Get Her Sexy, Smudged Eyes
“For her “Smudged Smokey Eyes,” here’s what I did: Define eyebrows. (Used on Rachel: Rich Makeup Studio Brow Shaper Kit – Deep) Chose your favorite bold eye shadow shades. (Used on Rachel: Rich Makeup Studio “Signature Shadow Quad in Fashionista“). With a soft eye shadow brush, sweep on your eyelid through crease. Finish by pressing more shadow on your lid close to lash line. (I use Shadow Shields to catch any loose eye shadow from dropping down on the face). Line eyes with a creamy eye pencil. (Used on Rachel: BECCA Cosmetics Automatic Eye Pencil in Majorca). Apply 3 coats of volumizing mascara (Used on Rachel: Rich Make Up Studio VolumeX Mascara – Ink) or to really make your eyes pop add faux lashes (Used on Rachel: Make Up For Ever Eyelashes – Strip Renee #23).
“Sculpt & Contour” cheeks. How to create: Apply a shimmering blush with flecks of gold or bronze on the height of cheekbone sweeping back toward your ear. (Used on Rachel: Rich Makeup Studio Baked Mineral Blush & Bronzer Swirled in Bronze Swirl). Note: when wearing shimmer, limit glow to one or two areas of the face. Never all over.”
Finish With A Bold Lip
“For “Bold Glam Lips:” Trace and color in lips with a lip liner that complements your lip color. (Used on Rachel: BECCA Cosmetics Nude Liner in Biscotti). Apply your favorite bold lip color in a matte formula. (Used on Rachel: Rich Makeup Studio Luxury Matte Lipstick in Curtain Call).
Do you agree that this was Rachel’s best makeup look ever, HollywoodLifers?
