So horrible! Two students are in the hospital and a suspected shooter is in police custody after a shooting took place in a Roswell, New Mexico middle school on the morning of Jan. 14.
Three people were injured after a shooting occurred at Berrendo Middle School in Roswell, New Mexico at around 8 a.m. local time on Jan. 14, and two kids were taken to the hospital for immediate care. A suspected shooter was taken into custody by police at the scene.

Three people were reported injured and two were rushed to the hospital after a shooting occurred in middle school shooting, but the condition of the victims, all reported to be students, was not immediately made available.
“A hospital official says a 14-year-old with injuries is being airlifted from Roswell to a hospital in Lubbock, Texas,” reported KRQE.
The school is on lockdown following the shooting and parents were advised to not go near the school, but pick up their children from the nearby Roswell Mall. “State Police Public Information Officer Emmanuel Gutierrez said the threat had been “alleviated” and children were being bused out of the school,” reported CNN.
Gunman In Custody, Searching For Shooting Motive
Police are still searching for a motive in this shocking story, but “Roswell has been rocked by gang violence in recent years and has asked Homeland Security Investigations to step in and help,” reported USA Today. The school says there is no longer danger at the school.
