It’s here — the glorious day has finally arrived! The two sexy singers dropped their huge collaboration on Jan. 13 and it’s even bigger and better than we imagined. Listen to the song below!

Rihanna and Shakira teaming up sounds like something we created in our dreams — but it’s a real life thing. And the two sexy megastars met their high expectations on Jan. 13, releasing a banging single called “Can’t Remember to Forget You” on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show.

Rihanna & Shakira Release ‘Can’t Remember To Forget You’

With a bit of a reggae beat and some upbeat flavor, Shakira starts off by taking the wheel. Her iconic voice soars on the track, as the chorus adds a little more edge to the song.

Things really heat up when Rihanna comes in. Her smooth voice plays off of Shakira’s perfectly and the energy she brings into the second verse is undeniable with her singing lyrics like, “The only memory, is you and me, kissing in the moonlight.” The themes of not being able to quit a boyfriend no matter what obviously hit pretty close to home for RiRi — there’s no doubt that her on-again, off-again relationship with Chris Brown drips all over this song.

See the song’s full lyrics here:

[Shakira]

I left a note on my bedpost
Said not to repeat
Yesterday’s mistakes
What I tend to do
When it comes to you
I see only the good
Selective memory
The way he makes me feel, yeah
Gotta hold on me
I’ve never met someone so different

Oh here we go
He a part of me now
He a part of me
So where you go I follow, follow, follow

Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I can’t remember to forget you
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I keep forgetting I should let you go
But when you look at me
The only memory is us kissing in the moonlight
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I can’t remember to forget you

[Rihanna]

I go back again
Fall off the train
Land in his bed
Repeat yesterday’s mistakes
What I’m trying to say is not to forget
You see only the good, selective memory

The way he makes me feel like
The way he makes me feel
I never seemed to act so stupid
Oh here we go
He a part of me now
He a part of me
So where he goes I follow

[Chorus]

Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I can’t remember to forget you
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I keep forgetting I should let you go
But when you look at me
The only memory is us kissing in the moonlight
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I can’t remember to forget you

I rob and I kill to keep him with me
I do anything for that boy
I’d give my last dime to hold him tonight
I do anything for that boy

I rob and I kill to keep him with me
I do anything for that boy
I’d give my last dime to hold him tonight
I do anything for that boy

Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I can’t remember to forget you
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I keep forgetting I should let you go
But when you look at me
The only memory is us kissing in the moonlight
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I can’t remember to forget you

But when you look at me
The only memory is us kissing in the moonlight
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oh, oooh, oh
I can’t remember to forget you

Rihanna & Shakira: A Collaboration Made In Heaven

The two South of the Border hotties — Rihanna from Barbados and Shakira from Colombia — began teasing their collaboration on Jan. 6. Instagramming a picture of chairs with the stars’ names on them, Rihanna wrote, “One. Week. Countdown.”

Then on Jan. 9, Rihanna posted the single’s cover art. Did we mention it’s sexy? Not only was Rihanna seductively draped over Shakira, but both singers donned sultry black dresses that exposed ample amounts of cleavage.

“Working with her was utopia,” Shakira said in the Jan. 14 issue of Glamour. “She’s the sexiest woman on the planet. And at the end of the day, we’re both basically just Caribbean girls. The chemistry was so good and so real.” Well, no wonder why this song is the bomb!
