These stars don’t need color to make them stand out. One of the biggest trends at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards was the celebs who chose to go with black and white! From Margot Robbie to Julia Roberts, we’re showing you every one — vote for your favorite!
It’s definitely tough to choose our favorite look of the night, so we had to narrow it down to different trends that hit the 71st Annual Golden Globes red carpet! We couldn’t help but notice that celebs from Jennifer Lawrence to Heidi Klum went with the classic black and white gown — and nailed it! Who do you think pulled off the look best?
Golden Globes Dresses — Stars Go Black & White
To kick off our favorite black and white dresses, we have start with J-Law. As a big winner of the night, Jen of course rocked a Dior Haute Couture dress paired with shoes and a black clutch by Roger Vivier, and jewelry by Neil Lane. Her strapless white gown stood out with black ribbon details and looked absolutely stunning!
Another favorite of the night was Wolf of Wall Street star Margot Robbie whose dress displayed the definition of a plunging neckline. The silk creme Gucci dress, was embellished with crystals and emeralds around the shoulders and a line at the waste. Of course, the high slit helped show off her amazing figure.
Some stars chose the patterned black and white route. New mother Jenna Dewan-Tatum wore a strapless white Roberto Cavalli gown with a black lace illusion overlay. It was the perfect shape and showed off that she absolutely has her body back! She topped it off with earrings by Irene Neuwirth, giving it a classic look.
Both Hayden Panettiere and Julia Roberts chose to go more black. Hayden wore a black halter Tom Ford dress with white accents and pointed-toe black pumps, while Julia went with something completely different — a black Dolce & Gabanna menswear-inspired gown. The look gave an illusion as a white button down underneath a black strapless dress. She topped it off with a silver, sparkling belt.
