Louis Licari, owner of Louis Licari Salon in New York City, stopped by Hollywood Life to tell us that perfectly-styled hair ruled the Golden Globes carpet while sexy, just-out-of-bed hair is out!
There were lots of hair hits and misses on the Golden Globes red carpet on Jan. 12, and Louis Licari, salon owner and contributing editor to the Today Show, came by to chat with Hollywood Life‘s Editor-in-Chief Bonnie Fuller about the hottest hair trends at the awards show. Find out what’s in and what’s out in Hollywood hairstyles!
‘Impeccable Grooming’ & Old Hollywood Glamour Are In On The Golden Globes Red Carpet
Look no further than Taylor Swift for hair that is totally sleek, sexy and “impeccably groomed,” Louis says. Taylor’s Golden Globes look channeled old Hollywood glamour, and we loved it!
We saw a lot of clean updos on the carpet — Mila Kunis, Margot Robbie, and Amy Adams‘ styles were some of our favorites. We’re tired of seeing a messy bun — it’s played out and inappropriate for such a high-glamour event!
Reese Witherspoon looked fantastic on the red carpet with bronze makeup and a freshly cut “waterfall” bob, explained Louis. For those who don’t know, a waterfall bob is where the ends of the hair are longer in the front than in the back — super modern and stylish!
Louis Licari: ‘Bedhead Is Dead!’
“Bedhead is dead!” according to Louis. And we couldn’t agree more. We don’t want to name any names, but there were quite a few beautiful ladies on the carpet who looked like they just rolled out of bed before hitting one of the biggest awards shows of the season! There’s nothing cool about looking like you don’t care!
So, HollywoodLifers, what do you think? Who had the best hair of the night? Who had the worst hair? Do you agree with Louis that “bedhead is dead?” Let us know!
