We saw a bunch of nail trends at the 2014 Golden Globes on Jan. 12, most prominently naked, nude nails or dark reds. Of course, Zooey went for her usual quirky design — get all the exact nail looks of the night from the celebrity manicurists right here!
Golden Globe Nails — Manciure Trends From 2014: Jennifer Lawrence & More
Zooey rocked a daisy design with a gold tip by artist Tom Bachik. He posted a photo on Instagram of her “Vintage Lux Daisy manicure” that he created with L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Polish.
Tom also created Amy Adams‘ pale mani with two coats of L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Collection Privee in Eva’s Nude and finished with L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Top of the Line top coat.
Jennifer wore Deborah Lippmann‘s Bitches Brew, a very dark red to match her vampy lip.
Deborah also painted 12 Years A Slave star Lupita Nyong’o‘s shiny, pale pink nails. She started with Gel Lab Base Coat, one coat of Naked, one layer of Diamonds And Pearls and finished with Gel Lab Top Coat.
Taylor wore Essie’s Berry Naughty. Celebrity Manicurist Beth Fricke told us: “Taylor wanted a very classic, elegant look and essie’s berry naughty was the perfect oxblood shade. It looked absolutely gorgeous against her dark, kelly-green gown!”
butter LONDON Global Colour Ambassador, Katie Jane Hughes, created Maria Menounos‘ nail look — a caramel cream shade created with two coats of butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Trallop and one coat of Hen Party. (Maria’s hair, by the way, looked stunning against her hot pink dress — her color is done by Kyle White, lead colorist at the Oscar Blandi Salon in New York City.)

Kaley Cuoco rocked a golden mani, created by CHANEL Celebrity Manicurist Ashlie Johnson. “I used two coats of CHANEL Limited Edition Le Vernis Nail Colour in Alchimie, which is a green gold and it worked really well. It was beautiful, but also unexpected. I always use CHANEL Protective Base Coat first to give the nail color a really good foundation, and then I finish with CHANEL Extrême Shine Nail Lacquer topcoat to give it shine.”
Julia Louis-Dreyfus wore “essie’s brooch the subject – a creamy cashmere cameo – was chosen to complement Julia’s orangey-red gown,” said Celebrity Manicurist, Emi Kudo.
