While she wasn’t at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 12, Catherine Zeta-Jones was mentioned by her husband Michael Douglas when he took home the award for Best Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries!
They may currently be on a break, Michael Douglas is still sending all his love to Catherine Zeta-Jones! On Jan. 12, he thanked his wife during his acceptance speech for his role in Behind the Candelabra — and it was so sweet.
Michael Douglas Thanks Catherine Zeta-Jones
“There’s two people in particular I really want to acknowledge — Matt Damon, the greatest, [most] talented actor I’ve ever worked with,” Michael said in his acceptance speech. “And Steven Soderbergh. What can I say? He’s the director, he’s the camera man, he’s also the editor.”
However, there were more than those two — namely his family.
“To Catherine, Carys, Cameron and Dylan, all my love,” he ended, naming his wife and three children.
The couple announced they had separated in August, but have since been spotted together — on Dec. 22 out and about in New York, and then on New Years, he posted a pic of the two of them and their kids skiing together!
Why Catherine Wasn’t At The Golden Globes
“She’s back east with the kids,” the actor told E! News at Sean Penn‘s J/P HRO benefit at the Montage in Beverly Hills on Jan. 11. “All is good,” Douglas said. “All is good.”
He is hoping that all goes well with he and Catherine, and that they reconnect.
“Sometimes people take a little bit of a break, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the end. I’m very hopeful,” he also said about their marriage troubles in October.
