One Republic sounded absolutely amazing on the 40th Annual People’s Choice Awards! We were so blown away by their performance of ‘Counting Stars’, a hit off their third album, ‘Native.’
Ryan Tedder led One Republic in a flawless performance on January 8 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles for the People’s Choice Awards! Their song “Counting Stars” got everyone hyped up during the show — and it’s no surprise; it’s one of their most popular songs ever!
One Republic’s Performance At People’s Choice Awards
The band has continually wow’d us with their talent. Their third album Native came out in March 2013, and debuted on the Billboard top 400 chart at No. 4!
The stage and the band’s outfits were bully black, but the crowd was on their feet jamming out — it wasn’t at all dull.
This song in articular peaked at no. two on Billboard’s Hot 100, making it their third US top-ten hit!
“OneRepublic is one of the hottest bands out there today, and we are excited that they are going to perform for us on the People’s Choice Awards,” Mark Burnett, Executive Producer , said in a press release, according to Newsok.com. “I am personally a huge fan of the band and I am also working with Ryan Tedder on The Voice, so it’s all OneRepublic, all the time, and we are thrilled they agreed to come on board for the show.”
Ryan, who has worked with amazing artists like Adele, Beyonce and Ellie Goulding, said in a recent interview that landing no. one on the UK charts with his band was the best moment for him!
“I’ve had a number of Number ones with other artists, but never one with this band. This is where I spend most of my time; these guys [guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, bassist Brent Kutzle and drummer Eddie Fisher] are like my brothers and we’ve been everywhere and back. This is the highlight of the year, it’s by far the coolest thing that’s happened to us in recent memory,” he told officialcharts.com.
We absolutely loved their performance — what did you think, HollywoodLifers?
