Monica Spear: Her Sad Final Tweet While Vacationing With Her Family

Monica and her ex-husband were vacationing in her native Venezuela before they were brutally murdered near the town of Puerto Cabello. In the days leading up to her tragic death, she posted several photos and this final Instagram video that is so beautiful but in hindsight, is incredibly sad. Monica Spear, 29, was enjoying a loving family vacation with her ex-husband Thomas Henry Berry, 39, before the pair were killed in front of their five-year-old daughter Maya. Miss Venezuela 2004 was posting amazing photos and videos from her trip and it's so sad that her life was cut short in such a horrible way.

Monica Spear’s Final Sad Tweet Before Murder

Monica and her ex-husband were taking time over the holidays to enjoy nature. In one post on Instagram, she shared a video of herself looking out at “La magia de los llanos,” which translates to “the magic of the plains.”

The beauty queen was also a popular Telemundo soap opera actress, and appeared most-recently on Pasion Prohibida.

This couldn’t be more sad and we are devastated for her daughter, who has lost her parents but survived with gunshot wound to her leg.

Former Miss Venezuela & Ex-Husband Killed During Robbery

The family was headed to the city of Valencia in a grey 2002 Corolla Toyota when they tragically got into a car accident. However, when they pulled over, two unindentified men attacked and shot them.

Venezuela has one of the highest murder rates in the world. In 2013 there were 24,000 homicides in the nation.
