What, you thought the backstabbing and betrayal would end once Frank Underwood took office? The new Season 2 trailer for Netflix’s smash hit ‘House of Cards’ reveals that things only get more difficult for the saintly Frank Underwood once he’s sworn in as Veep. Check out the brand new video here!
When House of Cards debuts all 13 of its Season 2 episodes simultaneously on Feb. 14, Vice President Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) will find his house of cards tumbling down. That brilliant ‘lil scheme that shot him straight to the top of Washington may have seemed like a great idea at the time, but the fallout from last season’s shocking murder will have several important suits hot on Frank’s trail.
‘House of Cards’ Season 2 Trailer: ‘Democracy Is So Overrated’
“There is but one rule — hunt, or be hunted,” Frank Underwood says in House Of Cards‘ dynamic new trailer. If there’s anything we learned during Season 1 it’s that Frank is the hunter, but — as I’m sure you can imagine — Frank’s remarkable ascension to power did not go unnoticed amongst the D.C. set. Vice President Underwood will have to deal with a plethora of new issues once he takes office, like Zoe (Kate Mara) putting two and two together regarding Peter Russo’s (Corey Stoll) horrific murder, the corrupt Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney) blackmailing for political favors, and the mainstream media sniffing out Frank’s bad intentions and suspiciously strategic marriage to Claire (Robin Wright).
“I can’t have this conspiracy stuff going mainstream,” Frank’s Chief of Staff Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) says, but it seems like it cannot be helped. A national TV reporter is shown chatting about Frank’s “troubling” connections to the shifts in power and … well, let’s just say that things are about to get very hot for the Underwood fam.
