Project Runway All Stars is back — and it’s definitely time to turn up the drama. With a whole new slew of guest judges and a two-day challenge, the finale is thisclose — but who will make it there? The final four battled it out in yet another epic episode — and it was full of surprising twists!
‘Project Runway All Stars’ Recap — Season 3 Episode 9:
Last time we got to watch as the designers were met with a familiar face — Nina Garcia! This week, there are quite a few famous faces among the judging panel — and that included Nick Cannon and Kristin Chenoweth! The third and final guest judge was designer Michelle Smith, known for her vibrant label that’s rich in prints and colors, Milly by Michelle.
It’s the Milly challenge! The designers have two days to craft a ready to wear look on a budget — but who will be in and who will be out? Honestly after seeing the looks come down the runway I had to admit that they were all really great. Judge Georgina Chapman even admitted she loved them all this week!
While most of the judges seemed to be a fan of the frocks, designer Michelle Smith was the toughest critic of the week — and she didn’t hold back with her critique! The zipper on Elena’s dress displeased most of the judges, but Nick Cannon loved the “easy access” it offered — and his commentary proved to be the best this week! He offered up the funniest perspective and really seemed so excited to be there.
Korto’s dress seems is a favorite with most of the judges, however, Michelle still isn’t obsessed with the look.
Personally, Seth Aaron’s creation was my absolute favorite. The silhouette and the cut was just phenomenal — and I wasn’t alone! Seth is the winner of the week and achieves his first win — and his spot in the finale!
So, who didn’t make the cut?
The Final Twist:
While Elena is safe, the judges have decided that there will be one more challenge to help them decipher who should be in and who should be out. It’s down to Christopher and Korto — and they have to remix three of their former looks into a brand new creation. And they only have an hour to complete the final challenge, right on the runway!
Honestly, both Christopher and Korto did a wonderful job — and I wish they both made it. Unfortunately, there could only be one winner — and it was Korto. It wasn’t a surprising choice, but we do wish there was room for Christopher, too.
