Find out why the soon-to-be ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ star won’t be appearing on the HBO series’ final season this summer!
As much as we were hoping for a reunion between Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) on True Blood, we were enjoying her budding romance with newcomer James (Luke Grimes). But that doesn’t really matter anymore, as James is being recast, following Luke’s sudden departure from the HBO vampire drama.
‘True Blood': Luke Grimes Not Appearing On Final Season
Luke has decided to excuse himself from the series’ seventh and final season, HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine is reporting, following a major shift in his character’s storyline.
“He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with [his Forever co-star] Deborah Ann Woll,” a source close to Luke tells TVLine. “But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James.”
Such a bummer! At least we can look forward to seeing Luke on the big screen in Fifty Shades of Grey — even if that won’t be released until 2015.
‘True Blood’ Season 7: More Spoilers Revealed
But Luke’s departure isn’t the only thing we’ve learned about the upcoming season of True Blood!
In a recent interview, Stephen Moyer vaguely suggested that Bill might not end up with Sookie (Anna Paquin), much to the chagrin of fans everywhere. Additionally, we’ve learned that Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) — who appeared to die on the sixth season finale — will still be a series regular this summer.
