Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde were already one of our favorite couples, but now they’ve taken it a giant leap further. Jason shocked a local Kansas bar crowd with a Billy Joel tribute on Dec. 28, while Olivia cheered from the sidelines!
Looks like Jason Sudeikis misses performing on Saturday nights, live. The SNL alum and his pregnant fiancé Olivia Wilde surprised an excited crowd with a Billy Joel song at Kanza Hall in Overland Park, Kansas on Saturday night. Check out the funnyman’s pipes after the jump!
Jason Sudeikis Stuns Kansas Crowd
Well, you can take the boy out of Kansas…
Jason and Olivia were home visiting Jason’s family in Overland Park when they decided to pop in for a Tribute to Yacht Rock show at Kanza Hall. But apparently, showing their famous faces wasn’t enough. Jason decided to hop on stage and join the band Summer Breeze for a rousing rendition of Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are.” Olivia even teased the local event on her Twitter page, saying “If you’re lucky enough to be in Kansas City tonight, go see this awesome show. Fun fun fun.”
If the crowd’s cheers can be used as an indicator, fun was definitely had. Good on Jason and Olivia for not abandoning their small town roots, and for knowing when to give back to the fans that helped make them famous.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Did you enjoy Jason’s pipes? Do you wish more celebs would pop in to unexpectedly sing at your local bar? Check out the video and let us know!
