The best fake morning talk show has returned! ‘Saturday Night Live’ brought back ‘Waking Up With Kimye’ for their Dec. 21 episode, and with perfect imitations and even a ‘Bound 2′ spoof, it may have been even funnier than the original. Watch the clip below!
The Saturday Night Live skit “Waking Up With Kimye” got such a good response — though not from Kim Kardashian and Kanye West — when it first aired on Nov. 16, that the show decided to trot it out once again on Dec. 21. And the comedy show may have outdone themselves with the sequel.
‘SNL’ Mocks Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Again
Jay Pharaoh and Nasim Pedrad‘s spot-on impressions of the tabloid favorites continued to be the anchor of the skit, which once again made fun of Kim’s level of intelligence and Kanye’s desperate and controlling attempts to make the world believe his fiancee is a legitimate artist.
The couple started off by bragging about Kim’s sexy bikini Us Weekly cover. “I’m starring in a book!” Kim gloated while Kanye added, “My genius fiancee’s body is back to a size I deem acceptable!”
So how did Kim lose the weight? “Through a healthy diet, regular exercise, and Photoshop!” Though we find out later from Kanye that Kim’s healthy diet means “not eating anymore” and “not getting hungry anymore.”
After Kanye called Kim “the Armenian Frank Gehry” and she called his dad “Mr. Black Guy” and “Morgan Freemans,” SNL then debuted their spoof for the “Bound 2″ music video. It was a Christmas version of the video, with Kim and Kanye bobbing up and down on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in front of a green screen. The perfect end to a perfect sketch.
Kanye West Reacts To First ‘SNL’ Diss
Though we can think of one person who won’t agree with us. After the first “Waking Up With Kimye” sketch aired in November, a source close to Kanye told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Kanye was not happy about being dissed, he doesn’t think any of it is funny.”
“He considers them to be one of the most influential couples that has ever existed. He might just refuse to go back on SNL ever again,” the source also said.
Agree to disagree, Kanye — because we think “Waking Up With Kimye” should actually be a real morning talk show.
