Alright Beliebers, Justin isn’t formally retiring, but he may be taking a break from music for a little bit if his manager has anything to say about it!
While we don’t want Justin Bieber to retire, maybe taking time off from his busy schedule is the best idea! His manager Scooter Braun admitted in a new interview that he wants Justin to take a year off after his movie Believe comes out on Christmas day.
Justin Bieber Needs Time Off, Says Scooter Braun
“I’m telling him after this movie, I want him to take next year off and just take a break,” Scooter said in the On Air with Ryan Seacrest studio Dec. 18. “He can still live in the studio and work on the next album, which is what he wants to do, but I just want him to take some time to himself, so he can have that time alone cause he’s been working since he was 12 years old.”
This comes on the heels of Justin’s interview with L.A.’s Power106, where he said he was going to retire after his next album.
While we’re not sure if it was a joke or not, we are sure that he really wants to focus on one thing — his family.
Justin Admits: I Want To ‘Get To Know My Family More’
When Ryan asked Scooter what the next chapter would be, his manager admitted that for Justin, he just wanted to do his best work.
“He said, ‘losing my childhood, losing the time I have with my family and my friends is not worth it unless I give you the best I can be,'” Scooter said. “He wants to go for it because what he’s given up already, he can’t justify losing all that unless he gets to the top. And that’s why he works as hard as hard as he does.”
And the main thing Justin has given up is seeing his siblings!
“I wanna get to know my family more,” he told MTV News at the premiere of Believe at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live. ”I’ve been away so much, I’ve missed a lot of great years with my brother and sister.”
