Short Hills Mall Murder: Man Killed While Holiday Shopping With Wife

A man and wife were shopping at the upscale Short Hills Mall on Dec. 16, when two unidentified suspects approached the couple in the parking garage, shot the man in the head and then took off in their silver 2012 Range Rover.

What was supposed to be a happy experience for a couple doing some holiday shopping on Dec. 16, turned into a horrific experience. A 30-year-old man and his wife were getting into their car when two people approached them to hijack their car.

Short Hills Mall Murder — Man Killed While Shopping

The deadly shooting occurred just around 9 P.M., after the couple had just completed some holiday shopping, according to CBS News. The report claims that the couple were getting into their car on the third level of the parking garage.

The victim, whose name is not yet being released, was opening the car door for his wife. They were approached by two suspects who shot the man in the head but did not injure the wife.

They hopped in the 2012 silver Range Rover and took off. The couple’s car was discovered 11 miles away from the mall on Renner Avenue, in Newark, NJ.

New Jersey Mall Shooting — Stores On Lockdown After Shots Reportedly Fired

A shooting took place at the Garden State Plaza mall in Paramus, N.J. on Nov. 4. at around 9:20 p.m. Police and SWAT teams responded after eight shots were fired, according to PIX11.

The mall was evacuated and there were no reports of injuries.
