‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Finale: Jax Makes Deal With Tara

While the motorcycle club was going through a ton of changes, the real challenge for the club was the fact that someone would have to take the blame for that KG 9 that Matthew Jennings brought into the school in the premiere of the season.

With Tara (Maggie Siff) making a deal with the D.A. to give up all the evidence in exchange for protection for her and her boys, Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and co. weren’t about to let that happen. After hiding out for some time, she met her lawyer at the park — and also met SAMCRO.

When Jax approached her and the kids in the park, she told him exactly how she felt — that the club had changed him and that she couldn’t stand by and let the kids suffer. She even admitted that if she was killed, at least she did everything she could to save the boys. After hearing some of the most painful things possible, Jax proved he’d once again take the high road — he told her he would let her live, and stay with the boys as long as she stayed quiet.

That meant that they needed a new deal with the D.A. So, Jax put his children and the club above himself, and made an agreement that if all charges were dropped from Tara — he would take full responsibility of the KG 9 that Matthew used in the elementary school. Once again, he was the hero and agreed that she would be safe.

They shared a super steamy kiss after the D.A. left, and while it was an extremely happy moment, we knew that it was just the calm before the storm — and what a storm it was about to be.

Misunderstandings Lead To Shocking Death

Gemma (Katey Segal) would do anything for her son, but unfortunately had too much on her mind to be around when the club searched for her, so she never knew he turned himself in.

In between a break up with Nero (Jimmy Smits) and helping Unser (Dayton Callie) get through his treatment, all she heard was that Tara took a deal — and that Jax would be heading to jail. Without the details, she was extremely angry and willing to do anything to save her son. So she headed to Tara’s house where she waited.

When Tara came in, she attacked her, shoving her up against the kitchen counter and holding her head into a full sink of dirty dish water. Then, in one of the craziest scenes ever, she picked up a carving fork — yes, a fork — and stabbed Tara multiple times in the back of the head, killing her.

A police officer and Juice (Theo Rossi) heard the ruckus from outside and came in to find her dead and Gemma crying. Before the cop could arrest her, Juice pulled out a gun and shoots him dead! And then he took all the evidence and destroyed it!

The most emotional and heartbreaking part of it all was the last two minutes when Jax came in to see his love, dead, before heading to jail for her. He dropped his gun, and between sobs he fell to her side, holding and rocking her. He even kissed her one last time.

So HollywoodLifers — were you shocked by Tara’s death? Do you think it should have happened? Let me know!
