Do you think the right singers were sent home tonight? Find out who got the boot, then weigh in with your reaction.
If you weren’t having mild heart palpitations during the Dec. 10 elimination episode of The Voice, you weren’t watching it correctly. This season’s final five singers came together for one last night of intense performances before losing two more members of their family.
‘The Voice’: James Wolpert & Cole Vosbury Eliminated
With the all-important Twitter save no longer in play, there was protecting the remaining contestants from elimination. James Wolpert was the first to officially be given the boot, followed by Cole Vosbury at the end of the hour. They were both surprising, emotional exits — but at this point, anyone leaving the competition would be a bummer. Every single singer has become a fan-favorite.
With James and Cole now out of the running, we’re left with these singers as our official top three:
1. Tessanne Chin
2. Jaquie Lee
3. Will Champlin
Tessanne Chin: The Truth Behind Her Emotional Performance
She may not have been eliminated, but this was still a particularly emotional week for Team Adam’s Tessanne. The Jamaican songstress chatted with HollywoodLife.com before the elimination episode, revealing why she got so emotional during her Dec. 9 performance of “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
“I think I left my heart out there,” she told us of her rendition of the Simon and Garfunkel classic. “I left everything that I was feeling on stage, and it was very much therapeutic. Would I have changed anything? No, because that was me in that spot.”
And that’s why we love Tessanne; she may be a performer, but she’s also not afraid to let her guard down. Her emotions always shine through when she sings.
