During her top five performance, Tessanne took on one of the most difficult songs ever — and completely nailed it. If it wasn’t already a definite, her Dec. 9 performance proved that she should be in the final two.
Week after week, Tessanne Chin impresses the coaches and the audiences alike. However, when she took on “Bridge Over Trouble Water,” it was unlike any of her past performances — it literally left Adam Levine (and me) speechless. There is absolutely no way that she won’t make it to the finals.
Tessanne Chin On ‘The Voice’: Why She’s Got It All
She’s definitely the full package. At 28, her voice is at its peak. During rehearsals for her Dec. 9 performance, she got extremely emotional. Adam made it clear that she had just found out about a personal issue and was working through a hard time, but they didn’t over share — step one to stardom.
I think that showed that she really is all about her voice and nothing else. She wasn’t looking for sympathy. Sure, she got emotional during rehearsals and after her performance, but it wasn’t over the top.
I’ve got to quote Adam here, since I think he put it perfectly:
I don’t even know what to say. That’s crazy what just happened. The things that they edited out of the package obviously that were upsetting you are very intense and very serious and we all respect that, but I know what you’re going through. Not only knowing the context of what’s going on in your life as a friend but also the sheer talent is just. I’ve never been speechless on the show before. I think that that’s probably the most flawless and graceful performance I’ve ever heard on this show.
Overall, I can’t see Tessanne not winning this. However with the live shows and fans voting, you never know what can happen. So, if she doesn’t win, she will absolutely be in the top two. And either way — her career is just getting started.
Do you agree, HollywoodLifers? Let me know.
