Paul Walker’s remains were taken from the L.A. County Coroner’s Office to a local mortuary on Dec. 9, according to a new report. The family is now deciding when and where the funeral will take place.
Nine days after his tragic death, Paul Walker‘s remains are finally in the hands of his family, TMZ is reporting. Paul’s family is taking their time to grieve and remember their loved one, and now that they have his remains, they now have many decisions to make.
Paul Walker’s Remains Sent To Morgue
After Paul was killed Nov. 30 in a fiery car crash, his autopsy was put on hold while they waited for Paul’s dental record. So it was no surprise that the Coroner’s Office had his body in custody for some extra time. However, now that the family has his remains, they will continue their planning.
“They have not decided when the funeral will take place, it is still a work in progress,” Paul’s friend told HollywoodLife.com exclusively on Dec. 5. “They want to make sure that everyone who wants to mourn will be together and all schedules match. They hopefully will have more of an idea next week.”
Vin Deisel Comforts Paul Walker’s Family
His costars and friends were extremely heartbroken and Vin Diesel was actually “inconsolable,” but that didn’t stop him from heading to California to see Paul’s family.
“When I heard, I immediately flew back to California, and went directly from the plane to his mother’s house,” the actor posted on Facebook on Dec. 6. “I thought they needed my strength, but realized when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs. His mother hugged me and said I am so sorry… I said, ‘Sorry? You’re the mother who lost a son.’.. She said yes, but you lost your other half.”
