While Michelle Obama may have an affinity for attainable brands and isn’t afraid to recycle a great look, she also knows how to get glam just like our favorite Hollywood A-listers — and that’s exactly what she did for the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors on Dec. 8 at the East Room of the White House, where she wowed in a gorgeous green Marchesa gown. The frock featured a draped bodice and definitely showed off some skin in a sexy yet elegant way — way to go, Michelle!
Michelle Obama Kennedy Center Honors Dress:
The first lady completed her grand look with a pair of matching green pumps and a dainty necklace and earrings, while she wore her hair in curls. The most remarkable part of the dress definitely had to be the draped fabric that gave the ensemble an off-the-shoulder vibe — it gave the dress such a romantic feel! The strapless ensemble highlighted Michelle’s figure as the silhouette allowed her to show off her toned arms — and who could blame her for wanting to flaunt them? Michelle always likes to show off her arms, so it comes as no surprise that she did so in this gown.
The draped, form-fitting bodice gave way to a flowing skirt as she made a memorable entrance. Michelle was all smiles as she walked in, holding hands with her hubby — how sweet?
Not only was the vibrant green gown gorgeous on Michelle, but it was such an appropriate, festive choice for the holiday season! Do you agree? What do you think of Michelle’s latest look? VOTE.
