The songstress stunned in two festive looks as she turned up for the occasion, but which dress did you like better? VOTE.
All eyes were on Katy Perry as she walked the red carpet in a luxe look that screamed holiday at the 9th annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC on Dec. 3, where the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador looked gorgeous in a dramatic Naeem Khan ensemble from the Fall 2013 collection. Her red velvet halter dress fit her frame perfectly, and the look was finished off with a dramatic sheer cape that featured gold embroidery.
Katy Perry UNICEF Snowflake Ball Dress:
The star wore the look exactly as it appeared on the runway — and she totally rocked it! While it isn’t an easy outfit to pull off, Katy does so with ease. The Indian influences in the garment are so in tune with Katy’s personal sense of style and the mixing of textures along with the blending of the two rich colors gives off such a festive vibe. She finished off the look with a ruby lip, matching red manicure, and gold, shimmering shadow, which worked so well against the rich, burgundy hue of her dress.
While Katy’s red carpet look was pure perfection, the star decided to pull a frock swap before her performance, as she lit up the stage in an asymmetrical Michael Kors gown. She stuck to the festive theme while trading her deep red gown for a little holiday sparkle in the one-shoulder embroidered dress, which featured a shimmering leopard print. The print was outlined in sequin appliqués which added to the glistening effect it had while she was on stage. She finished off the ensemble with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, which included a cuff and diamond-encrusted earrings. Although the dress might give off a sheer illusion, it’s actually comprised of nude opaque tulle — and it kept the star appropriately covered for her appearance!
While Katy looked lovely in both dresses, I definitely think her red carpet ensemble was the winner on this occasion. Do you agree? VOTE.
