Quick, text your mom! ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ producers are set to release two versions of the film to satisfy fans’ demands for more explicit sex scenes, meaning you’ll have one version to see with your mom and another NC-17 version that she’ll have to go see with her girlfriends, because that’s just awkward.
Looks like Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will have to spend even more time toning their bods at the gym. Fifty Shades of Grey producers now want to release two versions of the film adaptation of E.L. James‘ racy book, with one featuring far more erotic sex scenes than the other. Read on for more info!
‘Fifty Shades’ Producer: ‘We Could Release An NC-17 Version’
Fans of the Red Room of Pain, listen up! Fifty Shades producer Dana Brunetti says that Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey may get to bust out that riding crop after all. Dana listened to fans’ concerns on Twitter, and now he’s hoping to release two separate versions of the film so that diehard fans of the book can experience all of its graphic sex scenes on the big screen.
“What we’re hearing is that [the fans] want it dirty,” he explains to Collider. “They want it as close to the book as possible. We could release the R-rated version, which everyone will enjoy, and then for those fans who want to get a little gritty we could release an NC-17 version a few weeks later.”
‘Fifty Shades’ Stars Already Filming In Vancouver
Sounds juicy! Fifty won’t be released until February of 2015 so the studio has ample time to decide, but Jamie and Dakota have already been snapped filming a café scene in Vancouver — so if they’re going to bust out the truly NSFW stuff, they’re going to have to do it now!
“[Two movies] is my idea, but the fans and the studio will benefit from the double dip,” Dana continues. “We do not want this film to be seen as mommy porn, we want to keep it elevated but also give the fans what they want.”
And what the fans want, apparently, is far too dirty to discuss on this family-friendly website.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Should Fifty be NC-17?
