Rita Ora has landed her break out role! She will officially star as Mia Grey, Christian’s sweet, intelligent and absolutely stunning sister.
We’re just getting more and more excited for Fifty Shades of Grey to come out! Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were spotted on set Dec. 1, and now Rita Ora has joined the cast as she was officially chosen to portray Mia Grey, the sister of Christian.
Rita Ora In ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’
Rita, 23, definitely has the sex appeal to play Mia! The news, broke by HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site, Variety, comes on the heels of the first photos of the set. The movie, set to hit theaters in February 2015, has not been an easy one to cast!
In the books by E.L. James, Mia is Christian and Elliot’s younger, adopted sister. This means that Rita will be spending a lot of time with Jamie and Luke Grimes, who was recently cast as Elliot. Rita will also join the recently cast Eloise Mumford as Anastasia’s friend, Kate; Victor Rasuk has José; Jennifer Ehle as Carle, Anastasia’s mother; and Max Martini as Christian’s bodyguard, Jason Taylor.
Rita Ora Perfect For Mia Grey
There’s many reasons Rita will be perfect for that part — it’s clear she has the body, but it actually goes even further than that!
Mia is fluent in french, took cooking lessons in Paris and plays the cello. Rita is originally from Yugoslavia, but has done a great deal of traveling herself. She’s also an extremely talented musician. She came out with her first album Ora in 2012, which produced two hits, “How We Do (Party)” and “R.I.P.” — and you know they’re both amazing jams.
So HollywoodLifers — do you think Rita will play a good Mia Grey? Let us know!
