Kellie, 27, looked gorgeous in her silver gown as she sang ‘The Man With The Bag’ during the Dec. 2 CMA Country Christmas special. It was a very Marilyn Monroe inspired performance!
Kellie Pickler looked gorgeous as usually when she performed a holiday classic at the CMA Country Christmas show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The show was hosted by Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles but Kellie definitely stole the show!
Kellie Picker Stuns At CMA Country Christmas Awards
The lyrics are super cute: “Old Mr. Kringle/is soon gonna jingle/The bells that’ll tingle /all your troubles away/Everybody’s waiting for the man with the bag/Cause Christmas is coming again/He’s got a sleigh full/it’s not gonna stay full/Stuff/that he’s dropping/every stop of the way/Everybody’s/waiting for the man with the bag/Cause Christmas is coming again.”
Her performance reminded us of Marilyn Monroe’s performance “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend,” from the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles hosted this special, which had performers like: Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Mary J. Blige, Sheryl Crow, Lucy Hale, Lady Antebellum, Kellie Pickler and Rascal Flatts.
Kellie Pickler: ‘The Woman I Am’ Is Sweet & Sound
The first single off her new album is “Someone Somewhere Tonight,” and Kellie reveals why it’s such an important song to her.
“It really shines the light on not only the tough things, the bad, that’s going on out there, but it also shines the light on the sweet, innocent, good things that are taking place,” she told Country Weekly. “For me, my greatest treasure is my best friend and my best friend is my husband. And every night I get to go home to a good man. I think for the people out there that have yet to discover their soul mate and that significant other, that hasn’t found that best friend yet, I want to give them hope that that is possible.”
