Fans of Chris Brown can finally breathe a rare sigh of relief. A source close to Chris says that he’s “doing well” back in rehab, and is still planning on fighting his assault charge in court in January 2014.
Team Breezy faced a huge setback when Chris Brown, 24, was sent straight back to a Malibu rehab facility when he threw a rock at his mother’s car on Nov. 10. But sources close to the singer say that both Chris and his mother are doing well, and are prepared to fight his probation violations in court next January.

Sources close to Chris say that Breezy is doing well, even though he was sentenced to three additional months in a Malibu rehab on Nov. 20, the Daily News reports. Chris had initially checked into rehab voluntarily on Oct. 29, but he left abruptly when he was unhappy with his restricted phone access. Then came the ill-advised blow-up with his mother, and before you could even say “Kiss Kiss,” the singer was right back where he started.
However, Chris is doing much better this time around, and he’s even agreed to complete his remaining community labor hours at a rate of 24 hours per week. You go, Chris!
Chris Brown: Facing Jail Time
It’s good to see that Chris is feeling positive, because he’s facing some serious trouble if he’s convicted of violating the parole from his Rihanna assault case. Both the rock incident and his D.C. assault case could lead to time behind bars — he pleaded not guilty, but a guilty conviction from his Los Angeles judge would mean up to 180 days in the slammer. Hopefully the anger management rehab does the trick!
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think there’s still hope for Chris?
