The Griffins’ beloved dog Brian (voiced by creator Seth MacFarlane) was hit and killed by a car in the Nov. 24 episode of Family Guy — and it looks like there’s no hope of him coming back to life. How do we know? Well first of all, Stewie just disassembled his time machine. Second of all, there’s a new dog in town to steal the show. Yes, Brian will be replaced by a new dog in upcoming episodes, and his name is Vinnie!
“Former Sopranos star Tony Sirico will be voicing Vinnie, Tony’s rep tells TMZ. Vinnie the Dog is already set to star in at least six episodes, and there will probably be more after to come after that, according to the site.
It may take fans a while to get over Brian’s death — even Tony is upset about his passing — but maybe Vinnie the Dog won’t so bad after all. We can’t wait to see what happens next!
