Get ready for a million ‘Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are one degree closer to Kevin Bacon’ jokes! Kevin’s daughter Sosie Bacon has been named Miss Golden Globe 2014, meaning she’ll be handing out all of the trophies while Tina and Amy perform their hosting duties at the award show.
Sosie Bacon, 21, is following in Miss Anastasia Steele Dakota Johnson‘s footsteps by becoming the next Miss Golden Globe! Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick‘s daughter will take part in the legendary Hollywood tradition that has previously honored Dakota, Freddie Prinze Jr., Rumer Willis, and Francesca Eastwood. Find out more about the upcoming actress below.
Sosie Bacon Is Miss Golden Globe 2014
Sosie is the second and youngest child of Kyra and Kevin, as well as an aspiring actress. She appeared on several episodes of her mom’s show The Closer, and will next be seen in an independent film called Off Season.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) typically selects the child of a well-known celebrity to do the statue-handing honors, so Sosie should fit right in with the impressive list of past honorees. And hey, maybe one day she’ll even be cast in a crazy S&M movie like Dakota!

Sosie herself also released a statement:
“I am so grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for naming me this year’s Miss Golden Globe. As a young actress who is just beginning my career, it is truly an honor to be a part of such a special night in film and television. I can only hope to continue the legacy and tradition of Miss Golden Globe by following in the footsteps of my predecessors.”
Time to start practicing in those stilettos, Sosie!
What do you think of the HFPA’s decision, HollywoodLifers? Will Sosie make a good Miss Golden Globe?
