So tragic! Twin boys, who were weeks away from their first birthday, were found murdered alongside their parents on Nov. 18. Authorities said the entire family ‘died violently,’ and that the new parents were planning to divorce.
Scott Jones and Mei Kum Jones were found dead in their Arlington, Mass. home on Nov. 18 near the bodies of their twin sons, Colt and Cameron, who would have turned a year old on Nov. 26. Police revealed they will be performing autopsies on the family, but will not be looking for suspects.
Twin Babies Stabbed Alongside Parents In Arlington, Massachusetts Home
A caretaker for the twins asked authorities to check up on the family, said Police Chief Frederick Ryan. When police arrived at their quiet neighborhood’s address, they made a gruesome discovery: the parents and their two babies had been stabbed to death with “some sort of cutting tool,” according to The Daily Mail.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan described the family’s awful deaths as a “very troubling, very tragic situation,” but said that there was no threat to public safety following the slaying, according to The Boston Globe. “We’re not looking for anybody at this point,” she said.
Previous Police Reponse At Arlington, Mass. Home
Neighbors of the family described the mother as very attentive to and involved with her young children and the father as very obsessive, especially in regards to keeping the neatness of his garden and home improvement projects.
Police responded to the house two years ago when Scott Jones threatened to kill himself in the summer of 2010, reported The Boston Globe. Scott and Mei were having “marital challenges” in the days before their bodies were discovered, a source told The Boston Herald.
Our thoughts are with the victims’ relatives at this difficult time.
