Five days out of his rehab stay, Chris is back and better than ever, with a new mixtape dropping on Tuesday, Nov. 19 called ‘X Files.’ It’s good that Chris is keeping busy with his work, but doesn’t the ‘X Files’ sound just a little bit Rihanna-related?
Chris Brown, 24, had been working on his anger management issues (and his public image) at an undisclosed rehab for only a few weeks when he checked himself out of the facility on Nov. 13. Now, just a few days later, Chris is releasing a mixtape that definitely seems to be addressed to his ex Rihanna, 25. What is he trying to say?
Chris Brown To Release ‘X Files’ — About Rihanna?
Chris announced the mixtape news via Twitter:
X files… 5(free)songs…. The 19th. http://t.co/wUpGHOp834

X files mixtape Tuesday NOV 19th, 5 songs.

Members of Team Breezy must be thrilled to see their leader rolling out some new tracks, though they might be worried that Chris is still living in the past. The mixtape’s name, X Files, is a clever play on the classic TV show and the name of his upcoming album, X, but it could also be read as the Ex Files — especially considering Chris started working on new music almost right after splitting up with Rihanna in May.
Coming out with a tape that definitely seems to be about a famous ex is a surefire way to divert attention away from his recent rehab stay, but if that is the case, Rihanna may not like it, and Karrueche Tran will like it even less! Maybe Chris could rework a few songs to make them less Rihanna-y, then focus on more dates with his faithful, supportive girlfriend?
Trust us, Chris — she stood by you through thick and thin during rehab, but no woman wants to hear her man going on and on about his very gorgeous, very famous ex!
Is Chris Brown Still Getting Help?
Thankfully, Chris is still receiving out-patient care for his now-infamous anger issues. We hope Chris remains committed to fixing his personal problems, and that “X Files” won’t make a dent in any of his progress.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is it too soon for new music? Is the music about Rihanna?
