The star looked sensational at the world premiere for the second installment of the ‘Hunger Games’ series, where she braved the rainy night in London in a cutout neon gown by designer Jason Wu.
Effie Trinket may be known for her elaborate costumes, but it was Elizabeth Banks who sizzled on the red carpet at Leicester Square for the Catching Fire world premiere in London on Nov. 11, where the 39-year-old actress totally stood out in her chartreuse Jason Wu ball gown. As if the color of the satin ensemble wasn’t enough to set the look apart, the cutouts on the side of the bodice allowed the star to show some skin in a sexy yet tasteful way — everything about this look was simply premiere perfect!
Elizabeth Banks’ ‘Catching Fire’ Premiere Dress:
The star joined her co-star, Jennifer Lawrence, (who rocked a sequin Dior couture gown), on the red carpet. Elizabeth looked sensational in the strapless Jason Wu dress, which fanned out into a dramatic skirt below her waist. She clearly had fun playing with colors, as she accessorized the bright dress with a tangerine lip color. Her blonde hair was parted to the side and pulled back in an elegant updo, which kept the focus on the stunning gown, while she sported a bronze glow on her cheeks. She kept her accessories to a minimum as to keep the focus on the stunning frock, accessorizing with the intricate GAYDAMAK hand bracelet.
This just might be one of my favorite looks from the stylish Hunger Games actress, who truly radiated as she stepped out adding a welcome pop of color to the red carpet. Although it might have been a cold and rainy night in London, the actress exuded warmth in her bright ensemble — and she executed it perfectly!
Although the promotional tour for the second installment of the Hunger Games series JUST started, I’m already SO excited to see what other stunning styles she will show off while promoting her role.
What do you think of Elizabeth’s neon dress? Did you love the look as much as I did or do you think she should’ve opted for something more appropriate for the chilly night? VOTE.
