He’s back! Austin performed a special rendition of his hit single “Banga Banga” live from New York for the MTV EMAs, proving to his fans that it will take more than a blood clot to stop this rising star.
Austin Mahone, 17, had a huge health scare last month when he was hospitalized for a blood clot and extreme inflammation in his throat, as well as severe dehydration. But the “Banga Banga” singer proved he can bounce back from anything when he took the stage for an amazing comeback performance at the MTV European Music Awards on Nov. 10.
Austin Mahone: Back & Better Than Ever
After a month of rest and recovery, Austin brought the house down with his first live performance of his new hit single “Banga Banga.” We were all worried for Austin when he was hospitalized for a blood clot, but tonight’s performance showed a happy, healthy Austin who was clearly on the mend. His vocals were as stunning as ever, and his energetic performance proved that he’s ready to get back to where he’s needed — with his adoring fans!
Austin also went home with two EMA awards, for Artist on the Rise and Best Push!
Austin Mahone At The EMAs: Comeback Kid
Austin may not have been in Amsterdam with Miley and Katy for the actual ceremony, but the live stateside kickoff hosted by Glee star Darren Criss, Cher Lloyd, and Andrew Schulz from “Guy Code” was still a huge step. The event also featured performances from Fall Out Boy, Jason Derulo, The Wanted and EMA backstage host Ariana Grande, who looked flawless.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Was this a great comeback performance for Austin?
