When Selena visited BFF Demi Lovato at ‘The X Factor’ on Nov. 7, she was in for a big surprise — her ‘Slow Down’ performance was bumped due to voting problems. Lucky for us, a mischievous fan leaked a sneak peak!
Everybody makes mistakes sometimes; even Simon Cowell. On Thursday night’s X Factor results show, one act should have been sent packing, but a voting error rendered this week’s results irrelevant. Selena Gomez, 21, was supposed to perform her new hit “Slow Down” during the episode, but the big gaffe resulted in Selena getting bumped! Lucky for us, she still recorded a live rendition of the tune — and we have video below!
Simon’s Big Mistake
The big blunder happened when wrong numbers were posted during the performance show on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Since voters weren’t given the correct numbers to call to vote for their favorite, Wednesday night’s performances essentially meant nothing. This meant that Thursday night’s show had to serve as a re-do — and with so many contestants needing to sing for their lives, there simply wasn’t enough time to air Selena’s performance.
However, audience members were still treated to Selena’s performance, which will air during Nov. 14’s results show instead. One fan was brave enough to sneak in a camera phone and record a snippet, rendering us very excited to see the whole thing.
Selena and Demi: The Reunion
Even though Selena was bumped, it wasn’t all for naught. She posted an adorable reunion pic with fellow Disney alum Demi, saying, “It’s just the evidence of forever. No matter what.” The two may have hit a rough patch a while back, but that’s all in the past — Demi responded to Selena’s sweet post, saying “Love you SO much.”
What do you think of the video, HollywoodLifers? Will you tune in for Selena’s performance?
