‘The Voice’ is slimming down their teams FAST! On Nov. 7, they went from 20 to 12, when each team eliminated two singers each.
Season five of The Voice is definitely full of a great amount of talent. After all four teams took the stage for live performances, eight people still had to go home! While your votes saved two people from each team, each judge had to choose the third person to take to the final 12.
‘The Voice’: Top 12 Revealed
The show opened with Team Blake Shelton taking the stage for an amazing performance of “Free Ride.” Unfortunately, we knew that no one is getting one! The results for Blake’s team were quickly announced, as his team went from five to three.
While Cole Vosbury and Austin Jenckes were the first two saved, Blake left Ray Boudreaux, Nic Hawk and Shelbie Z waiting for the results! Ultimately he eliminated both Shelbie and Nick.
Next up with “Give A Little Bit” was Team Cee-Lo Green, who completely entertained the crowd! Unfortunately, two still had to be eliminated. Caroline Pennell and Jonny Gray were the first two saved, followed by Kat Robichaud. That meant that sadly, we said goodbye to Amber Nicole and Tamara Chauniece.
Team Christina Aguilera took the stage next in a black and white (apparel wise) performance of “Love Somebody” — yes, a song by Maroon 5. Adam Levine must have been so proud! The amazing Jacquie Lee was the first saved, followed by Matthew Schuler — we knew these two would make it! Unfortunately, Stephanie Anne Johnson and Olivia Henken weren’t as lucky and were eliminated after Christina saved Josh Logan.
Adam’s team closed out the show with “Safe & Sound,” after a short (and very random) appearance by Dax Shephard. The team impressed us all, but two still had to go. Tessanne Chin and James Wolpert were announced safe first, and Adam hesitated before saving Will Champlin, sending home Preston Pohl and Grey.
Altogether, it was a night full of eliminations! Do you think the right people went home on ‘The Voice’? Are you happy with the top 12?
