She actually looks wistful to me. Not angry or sullen. To me her face can also be interpreted as emotional that her friend won again and/or that her friend was giving her a shout out. It had to be an emotonal night for her.

Why should someone be fake? Screw that. Leave that to Taylor Swift.

whats sad is that the face she is making was during the exact moment Miranda congratulated her on her win earlier in the evening. I can understand being disappointed over not winning when you initially hear her name called instead of yours…but she couldnt even crack a smile when Miranda congratulated her? I thought that was rude.

I agree that Kacey didn’t deserve the award and glad she didn’t win, but I wish Carrie won. That’s just my opinion and I fully have respect for yours. Coming from a not judgmental prospective.

I have no idea how Kasey Musgraves was nominated for any of the coveted awards of the CMA. She has one song that has been played on the radio and for her to win the Newcomer award was
disheartening.

I don’t get how you can say that she was “caught with her bored face”. The picture did not show the look that everyone watching saw her give. It was more of an “eat crap, you’ve got to be kidding” look.

She definitely has a lot to learn in the area of representing country music and in representing
women in country music.

Hmmm that’s why she has written songs for Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Gretchen Wilson and Deana Carter. And she’s so young. Her songs have more depth than a lot of other nominated songs. Not only that, but she released three albums before being in the business SINCE 2007. She deserves nominations, and an award. You have a lot to learn about the business.

I thought Kasey could have acknowledged Miranda’s success with her song, Mama’s Broken Heart. Miranda’s incredible version of that song made many people discover Kasey for the first time (me for one!). It’s smart to remember to spread the glory!

She should not have to fake a smile. That is not the world we should live in. It’s refreshing to see that she is a human. Most of these famous folks seem like androids.

When Miranda lambert said she did not think she would win, I agreed with her, she shouldn’t have. She won based on popularity, couldn’t have been talent.

Miranada deserved to win hands down, I like Kacey’s music but she was a total b*tch and now I have no use for her, jealousy isnt suppose to be a part of country music, your suppose to be a family and supportive , she is a brand new singer and not all that popular yet im surprised she thought she would win??

Kacey Musgraves did not deserve to win. She’s only been on the radio for the last few months, a few months does not make a year. Miranda Lambert won based on her amazing vocals skills and that people love her as a person. Yah you say it shouldn’t be based on popularity but are you stupid? Everything in our world is based off popularity. If I don’t like someone as a human being I’m not going to buy their records or listen to them on the radio.

Also that picture does NOT do justice to the face that Kacey made the ENTIRE TIME MIRANDA WAS TALKING. Even when Miranda gave a shout out to all the girls she won against Kacey’s face still reflected her sore losing. Not to mention if you listen to any of her interviews from that day, specifically from the Bobby Bones show she was just a rude cranky pants the entire day. And she acted like she thought she deserved every award at the CMA’s and more. Country is about being humble, true, and loving. She is not.
