‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Bailey Has OCD — Season 10 Episode 8 Recap – Hollywood Life

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Recap: Bailey’s Headed For A Breakdown

Plus, Meredith & Cristina's friendship hits a new low! Can it ever recover? Some of our favorite doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial started to lose their cool on the Nov. 7 episode of Grey's Anatomy: Ben (Jason George) began to notice that Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is not OK, and Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Meredith's (Ellen Pompeo) friendship reached an all-time low.

What’s Happening To Bailey?

Granted, Bailey has been through a lot in the past few weeks, but after tonight’s episode, I am very worried. Ben found her frantically searching Tuck’s room to find some smell. It just wasn’t normal Bailey behavior.

At the hospital, her behavior got weirder. She was picky about her O.R., and was still worried about the smell in Tuck’s room. During surgery, she became light-headed and snapped at Jo (Camilla Luddington). She even blacked out for a few seconds! All the while, Ben was becoming increasingly worried about her.

At the end of the episode, Ben told Bailey she needed help. Despite her being right about the smell in Tuck’s room — it was rotten apple slices — she was still off her game. She assured Ben that everything was fine, but know a bold-faced lie when I see one, and that was one of them.

It turns out Bailey’s in the beginning stages of OCD, and it’s only getting worse; one of our favorite docs may be heading toward a nervous breakdown. (Stay strong, Bailey!)

Welcome Back, Richard

After weeks of a mean-spirited Richard (James Pickens Jr.), it was about time the old Richard returned! We have had glimpses, but tonight he made a surefire comeback. After one of the neighboring patients collapsed, Richard jumped out of his bed to help her! I haven’t seen that much spring in his step in a long time.

Later, he admitted he was ready to be the doctor he used to be. He’d lost himself, but now he’s ready to return to the fold. Everyone’s favorite mentor and Chief is back and that warms my heart.

A War Between Best Friends

Meredith’s research reached new heights with her innovative 3D printer, which would allow doctors to customize treatment. Her first printed object? A fork. (Seriously?)

Cristina and Shane (Gaius Charles) were working on a heart patient, but she was really just testing Shane as a her new prodigy. Meanwhile, Alex (Justin Chambers) and Meredith were working on a cancer patient. An awkward elevator moment prompted Alex to ask Meredith what was going on between her and Cristina; he first sensed issues during surgery when he told Meredith to stand down.

Cristina asked Meredith if she could use the printer for a time-sensitive case. At this point, the printer was research and Cristina desperately needed it. Meredith said no and the rift between the former best friends widened. Then, Alex called her out for her behavior. “Yang calls you a lousy doctor, and now you have something to prove,” he said. He then completely owned her by telling her she was a lousy doctor that day. That burn is going to take some time to recover from, Meredith.

At the end of day, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) left Meredith to continue on her research. When she opened the door where her printer was stored, she found Cristina and Shane using it! And with that, Cristina and Meredith hit BFF rock bottom.

Cute, Chaste Couple Alert!

Newly engaged April (Sarah Drew) and Matthew (Justin Bruening) took a compatibility test and got 90 percent! If that isn’t a recipe for a great marriage, I don’t know what is. Look, I know Jackson (Jesse Williams) is hot, but we can’t discredit the fact that Matthew is also super hot.

In a surprising turn of events, Matthew decided he wanted to have sex with April before their wedding! The temptation is real for April at this point. These two are so adorably cute.

However, after thinking about it, April decided to hold off on Matthew’s request. Even though Matthew was good and ready, April knew it wouldn’t be right for him. “It’s still going to be a first time for me because it’s going to be my first time with you,” she said. I love April so much after this. I really hope they get married.

Other Notes Worth Mentioning:

1. Owen’s (Kevin McKidd) new lady friend Emma got interviewed for a job at the hospital but declined. She knew the doctors at Grey Sloan loved Owen and would always have his back over hers.

2. Apparently, Arizona had sex with Leah (Tessa Ferrer) and it was awesome. At the end of the episode, it looked like she was back for more when she stepped in the shower with Leah! Holy moly, she really is moving on!
