Central Connecticut State University On Lockdown
We reached out to University spokesman Mark McLaughlin and he tells HollywoodLife.com:
“Around 12 noon a report came in that there was a suspicious person with a weapon on campus. Campus police as well as state patrol gathered and began a search. At around 12:10-12:15, the campus sent out an alert for all to seek shelter, remain indoors until further notice.”
On the report that the suspected shooter “contained,” he said: “I have no information on that whatsoever and have been in constant contact with the police on the scene.”
The school posted this on their website:
Campus Emergency. Remain Inside buildings. Stay in place! Stay away from Windows. Police are on the Scene.
Plus, they also took to Twitter to write: “The university’s Twitter page sent out multiple messages throughout the day. This is not a drill, please stay indoors until the all clear.”
