It was Cher week on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ — not only did the legend perform two songs but each couple danced to one of her hits! See who got immunity and who was sent home on the Nov. 4 episode.
Dancing With The Stars is getting more intense each week! This time around, the couple with the top score got immunity from the very-important team dance-off challenge, which could seal the fate of a couple next week. Read our full recap below!
‘Dancing With The Stars’ Week 8 — The Individual Dances
Corbin Bleu danced the Argentine Tango with Karina Smirnoff. “The lifts took my breath away. An “A” performance,” Carrie Ann Inaba raved. “Your performance has a wonderful depth to it, but sometimes you were a little bit not quite on it,” judge Bruno Tonioli said. They got a score of 27.
Leah Remini danced the Viennese waltz with partner Tony Dovolani (as Jennifer Lopez watched from the audience) to “I Got You Babe”. “There were a few moments where you were under the timing. I think you had an elongated line but sometimes you got behind the music,” Carrie Ann said. “I was just enthralled that you could interpret something I went through that day at that coffee shop [when I met Sonny]. I thought it was great,” guest judge Cher raved. They got a 25.
Brant Daugherty and pro Peta Murgatroyd danced the foxtrot, ending with a passionate kiss, just like last week! “You have star quality. You have the most potential. Every week, I do see you pushing yourself,” Carrie Ann said. “It’s brilliant what you do, but you can be ever better,” Bruno added. They got a score of 27!
Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovsky danced jazz to “Bang Bang.” Elizabeth teared up as Cher told her: “It was great, I liked the rough part of it.” Bruno said she missed some of the timing because she was so emotionally invested. They got a 25!
Bill Engvall danced disco with Emma Slater to “Strong Enough.” “You really got the disco inferno going! You got the spirit going,” Bruno said. “You have this magical effect. You just make my day better. You were off the beat but I still loved it!” Carrie Ann screamed. Cher said she was amazed at how he got her into so many positions in the various lifts — and then Bill made a Viagra joke. They got a score of 24.
Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke danced the tango. Carrie Ann said it was smooth and controlled. Cher said: “I thought it was great — you looked like a tango-dancing pimp!” Bruno complimented him on his growth. They got a 27!
Amber Riley, still battling a torn knee ligament, and Derek Hough, danced the dance of love — the rumba. “I thought it was fabulous,” Cher raved. “That’s a girl on top! She knows what she wants and she gets it,” Bruno purred. They got a 28, which got them the highest score of the night, meaning they are definitely safe this week.
The Dance-Off — The Remaining Six Couples Challenge Each Other
The couples all had to practice three dance styles — the cha cha, disco and rumba. The winning team in each challenge will be awarded three extra points.
Corbin & Karina picked first and choose to dance against Val & Elizabeth. Val & Elizabeth choose the style of cha cha. “You both nailed the routine!” Carrie Ann said. Cher called both dances sexy and hot. The winners: Corbin & Karina!
Next, Brant & Peta choose to dance against Leah & Tony. They choose the rumba. “Wonderful from both of you,” Bruno praised. “I feel the emotion and the passion from all four people,” Cher said. Ultimately, Leah & Tony won!
Finally, Jack & Cheryl and Bill & Emma danced disco. Unanimously, Jack and Cheryl got the extra three points. But then, it was announced that Bill & Emma were safe!
Another Elimination At The End Of The Night
At the end of the night, the bottom two were Jack & Cheryl and Brant & Peta.
Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Brant & Peta.
