During the first-ever YouTube Music Awards, Eminem brought the house down with his new hit, ‘Rap God,’ after winning Artist of the Year. Did you love his performance, HollywoodLifers?
Eminem Performs ‘Rap God’ During 2013 YouTube Music Awards
The Detroit native proved he was indeed a “Rap God” during the show. He rapped the third single off of his hotly-anticipated upcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, to perfection in a “live music video.”
Eminem was clad in a black hat, jacket and pants, paired with a white shirt. We loved how his performance was filmed in black and white, first rapping against a white backdrop, then in the dark, and then against the crowd. He triumphantly ended the song with the lyrics: “Why be a king, when you can be a God?”
This was also a big night for the rapper, because he won the Artist of the Year award! He thanked his fans who voted in a short and sweet speech, ending it with, “I’m out. Peace.”
Eminem Performs ‘Berzerk’ & ‘Survival’ On ‘SNL’
He stepped out on the stage wearing a hooded parka to perform his first single from the new album, “Berzerk.” The hot track reminds us of old-school hip-hop. Later, Eminem came out in a camo jacket to perform his next big single, “Survival,” which features singer Liz Rodrigues.
Eminem’s followers were also treated to an early listen to the rapper’s much-anticipated The Marshall Mathers LP 2, the follow-up to his 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP, when it leaked six days ahead of its Nov. 5 release.
