So sad? Teen bride Courtney Stodden, 19, has reportedly separated from her husband of two years, ‘Green Mile’ star Doug Hutchison, 53.
Now that Courtney Stodden is becoming a woman and getting a taste of celebrity in her own right, she is “done with” her significantly older husband, Doug Hutchison, the man who propelled her to fame, according to a new report. Read on for all the details.
Courtney Stodden & Doug Hutchison Separate — Teen Bride Is ‘Done With’ Doug
Courtney first made headlines when she married Doug in May 2011 — with her parents’ blessing — when she was just 16 years old. It looks like Courtney is all grown up and ready to move on now.
“Courtney has called it quits on her marriage,” a source close to the couple tells Radar Online. “She is done with him and he’s totally heartbroken.”
“Doug knew he was taking a risk with the marriage, but he genuinely fell in love with Courtney and didn’t realize how much his life would be changed after they got married,” the source adds.
Courtney and Doug appeared together on the reality show Couples Therapy in 2012, but since then Courtney has been booking solo gigs, including one on Big Brother in the UK.
“She is branching out and doing her own thing and Doug is getting left behind,” the source continues. “Everything with Courtney and Doug is so contrived, but he wasn’t with her at her Halloween party and she’s always doing things by herself lately. He just isn’t part of the scene anymore now. They’ll probably stage a photo opp just to pretend they’re still together though.”
Courtney, who recently got DD-cup breast implants, hasn’t been seen with Doug since Oct. 2, according to Radar. The source says Courtney is postponing announcing the split because she is hoping to star in a reality show about her finding new love.
UPDATE: Courtney’s rep tells HollywoodLife.com in an EXCLUSIVE statement that “Doug and Courtney are not separated. Doug was not at last night’s party, but they are still living together. They both have great love for each other.”
Courtney Stodden Headed To ‘Playboy’?
The last time we even thought about Courtney, she was mulling over her next career move in September, 2012, when she tweeted, “No to porn…yes to @Playboy ;) xxx.”
While TMZ reported at the time that their sources said Playboy wasn’t interested, Courtney’s momager Krista Keller told E! Online, “TMZ doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Clearly, their ‘sources’ are different than ours.”
In the end, it looks like TMZ was right because Courtney never appeared in Playboy. But we’re sure there’s still hope for her.
