Karrueche Tran, it’s fantastic that you urged Chris Brown to make the right decision and go into rehab to finally try to resolve his anger management issue, which is holding back his career and his life.
Karrueche, you could have been a yes person and helped Chris make excuses for his behavior, but encouraging him to take a tougher path and face his problems is a far more loving thing to have done. Chris, as you know, is incredibly talented musically and artistically but he’s repeatedly gotten himself into tough situations. He keeps holding himself back from having the kind of life and career success that he wants.
And listen, nothing could hold him back further than spending time in jail for violating his parole stemming from his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, 25. Karrueche, we at HollywoodLife.com know that you and Chris argued last week and had a temporary split, but then he spent a day and half in jail reflecting on his life and deciding to make big changes.
Clearly, one of the things he thought about was how much he needed you, and you proved that you were there for him. You were the one who argued the most forcefully to him that he needed to go into rehab, even though a new report says that it’s for three months and it means that you won’t see him. That means no more glamorous parties or superstar girlfriend lifestyle for the duration. So I’m sure it means a tremendous amount to Chris that you’re putting his need to recover and become a better person ahead of the trappings of celebrity.
Karrueche, I’m sure it also made Chris smile to see your Instagram picture showing the two of you kissing, and then to read your caption, “Always & Forever.” It was a wonderful public declaration of love and support. It was also a declaration that you believe that he can change and that he can leave his violent past behind him. Chris needs that kind of public as well a private support right now.
It’s an extremely tough time for him. He likely has to postpone the release of his X album, he has to face legal issues, he has to face the possibility of more jail time, and he has to finally go deeper than he ever has — not be macho — and confront his feelings about living in an abusive home during his childhood.
So the fact that he can count on your true and unconditional love will be invaluable, and it will also ensure that he stands by his decision to become the man he really wants to be.
Don’t you agree, HollywoodLifers? Let me know.
