After being arrested and pleading not guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge in Washington, D.C., and potentially facing jail for a parole violation, Chris has decided to enter rehab on Oct. 29, his rep tells HollywoodLife.com in a statement.
Chris Brown has chosen to enter rehab in order to gain “insight into his past and recent behavior” and get his life and career back on track, his rep tells HollywoodLife.com. Chris will be getting help for anger management, a source close to him tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Read on for all the details.
Chris Brown In REHAB — Breezy In Treatment Facility After Assault Arrest
Chris’ rep says in an official statement, “Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.” Chris took to Twitter to post what seems to be a reflective tweet about his decision, saying:

Chris, 24, is going to anger management “to talk about his childhood,” a source close to the singer tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s got a lot of built-up issues that only he knows and he wants and needs to get that off his chest.”
After Chris met with officials from the L.A. County probation department, his lawyer, Mark Geragos, dropped him off at a rehab facility in Malibu on Oct. 29, according to a new report from TMZ. Chris’ mother, Joyce, and on-again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, 25, also accompanied him to the facility. It’s great that he has the support of Karrechue, who must be very proud of him for taking this huge step.
Chris had a lot of time to reflect on his life while he was in jail and a source close to him tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that he said he was “tired of life and all the bullsh*t that comes along with being a rapper.”
“That’s all he did in there was sit and think,” the source adds. “He said his eyes were closed the whole time he was in there. He was just in his head, thinking about how much he want a normal life. No cameras. No interviews. Just normal peace.”
We hope Chris will find the peace he is looking for in rehab.
Chris Brown Charged With Misdemeanor Assault
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Chris was charged with misdemeanor assault on Oct. 28 in a Washington, DC. court, and released from jail without bail.
Chris pled not guilty to the charge and is required to stay 100 yards away from the alleged victim, Isaac Adams Parker, 20.
The singer was arrested on Oct. 27 for allegedly punching Isaac. Even though Chris’ charge was lowered from a felony to a misdemeanor, he could still face jail time because he’s still on probation stemming from the 2009 Rihanna assault case. If his probation is revoked, he could be looking at more than four years behind bars.
