The custody war continues over Pauly D and Amanda Markert’s beautiful baby girl — and it’s getting messy. Not only do both parents want full custody, but they can’t even agree on which state — Nevada or New Jersey — should handle the case. Find out why.
DJ Pauly D and Amanda L. Markert are not only fighting over the custody of their 5-month-old baby girl Amabella, but also the state that should handle the case. With Pauly D living in Las Vegas, he doesn’t want to venture back to his home state of New Jersey for a trial — but saving money on travel isn’t the only reason for his preference.
Pauly D Wants State Of Nevada To Handle His Custody Case
Apparently, Nevada judges are way more likely to give the father custody than a New Jersey judge, according to TMZ, because Nevada’s custody laws work under the presumption that parents deserve joint custody. New Jersey’s meanwhile, do not.
So Pauly D’s battle to get full custody will have a joint custody safety net if the case is handled in Nevada, as opposed to New Jersey.
But this is how determined Pauly D is to win full custody of his baby girl — he knows that if Nevada does end up handling the case, and a judge awards joint custody, he will be paying more child support than if the case was handled in New Jersey. But that isn’t stopping him from trying to put himself in the best position to win full custody as possible.
And that really proves how valid his desire to be a present father to Amabella is.

Pauly D reportedly met Amanda while she was working as a hostess at Rehab, a hot pool party in Las Vegas held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where Pauly D was deejaying.
For baby Amabella’s sake, we hope that the custody case goes as smoothly as possible, and that Pauly D gets a chance to be a good father.
