A young teen got up in front of 300 churchgoers in desperate attempts to find the family that will take him in as their own. ‘I’ll take anyone,’ he urged. ‘I would be really appreciative.’ Davion’s story is so heartbreaking — but his faith is truly uplifting.
Davion Only, 15, has been in and out of foster homes for his entire life — and all he wants is to have a stable, loving family to call his own. The inspiring teen stood up at the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Fla. to reach out to parishioners in hopes to find a permanent home. After his bold search, hundreds of callers contacted his case worker to ask about adopting him!

Davoin exhibited great courage when he stood up in front of strangers to share his story. “My name is Davion and I’ve been in foster care since I was born.” Davion told parishioners at the church, according to Naples News. “I know God hasn’t given up on me. So I’m not giving up either.”
“I’ll take anyone,” Davion said. “Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple. I don’t care. And I would be really appreciative. The best I could be.”
“If you can, reach out and get me and love me until I die,” Davion told ABC News.
Davion Only’s Story
Davion was born while his mother was in jail. She was serving time for petty theft and drugs, but died in prison in 2012, reported Naples News.
“When I found out all that stuff about my family, it made me want to be more successful, no matter what,” Davion said to ABC News. “I don’t want to go down that same path.”
After Davion’s bold speech, hundreds of families overwhelmed his case worker with calls about the possibility of adopting Davion.
