The Minnesota Vikings running back will make another heartbreaking trip to Sioux Falls, South Dakota — to attend his young son’s funeral.
Adrian Peterson‘s 2-year-old son was brutally beaten and passed away from his injuries on Oct. 11. The little boy was remembered at a town-wide vigil on the night of his passing, but for his upcoming emotional funeral, Adrian will be in attendance to honor the boy and reflect on this horrible loss.
Adrian Peterson’s Son’s Funeral: Minnesota Vikings Player To Attend
Adrian will be making another emotional trip back to Sioux Falls — and his trip unfortunately will not be any easier than his travels there on Oct. 10.
“Adrian plans to fly back to South Dakota to attend his son’s funeral later this week,” reported TMZ.
Adrian had planned to make a trip out to meet his son for the first time soon after he learned about him, but unfortunately, his first trip to meet the little boy when he rushed to be at his side at the hospital a day before he passed.
Adrian Peterson’s Son Remembered At Emotional Vigil
The boy’s hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota was absolutely devastated at the shocking loss. The toddler was described as a wonderful and energetic boy by the attendees who came out to a vigil held in his honor on Oct. 11.
“He was very happy, very strong-willed, so much potential, a go-getter boy,” Vanja Srdic said. “Mom was his world.”
